MoD is on the hunt for a Quality Assurance Specialist, the successful candidate will oversee the quality aspects of high to critical complexity bids, projects, and products. This is a 6-month contract hybrid opportunity for a leading client of ours in the GTA.
Key Duties:
- Own project quality and ensure customer quality requirements are understood and met
- Perform audits and compliance checks against internal processes, contracts, and standards
- Participate in and approve/reject project gate reviews and milestones
- Write and execute Project QA and Software QA Plans
- Coach project teams on QA processes and risk management
- Conduct root cause analysis, lessons learned, and process improvements
- Prepare quality reports and provide visibility to leadership
- Support customer audits and internal audits when required
- Raise red flags when there are unresolved compliance or risk issues
Must Haves:
- 3-5 years of experience in Quality Assurance or Engineering/System/Software Development
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, etc.)
- Strong understanding of QA practices and Quality Management Systems
- Ability to work across multiple disciplines (Engineering, Safety, PMO)
- Experience in complex system environments with certification constraints (e.g., Transportation, Aerospace, Medical Devices, Nuclear, Cybersecurity).
Hourly Rate Range: $35-$40
