MoD is actively seeking a Warehouse Manager for an e-commerce client in the GTA. This role is ideal for a results-driven, process-oriented leader with experience in perishable goods and a passion for optimizing warehouse operations.

Key Duties:

  • Oversee the handling, storage, and shipping of perishable goods to ensure freshness and compliance with health regulations
  • Implement proper inventory rotation practices and monitor expiry dates to minimize product waste
  • Efficiently manage the day-to-day warehouse activities (receiving, order fulfillment, and shipping)
  • Optimize warehouse layout and storage strategies for perishable and non-perishable products to ensure effective space utilization
  • Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations set by WSIB, Health Canada, and CFIA for handling wellness and nutrition products
  • Implement and maintain best practices for handling, storing, and shipping perishable goods
  • Utilize SAP or other warehouse management systems to maintain accurate inventory records and monitor stock levels
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve warehouse processes, particularly those related to perishable goods handling
  • Leverage your expertise in international shipping; optimize global shipping processes
  • Lead and mentor a team of warehouse personnel to foster a positive and productive work environment
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching and training as needed.

Must Haves:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • Proven experience in managing a warehouse with perishable goods, preferably in an e-commerce environment
  • In-depth knowledge of health regulations, including WSIB, Health Canada, and CFIA rules
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (SAP and Process Weaver)
  • Experience in international shipping (UPS, other major carriers)
  • Forklift certification and knowledge of workplace safety practices
